Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the Diplomatic Forum on “Advancing Diplomacy in Times of Turmoil”, which was held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Türkiye at the Nest Congress Centre in Antalya on 1-3 March 2024.

The Special Meeting of the PABSEC Standing Committee was held in Istanbul, on 23 February 2024. The Meeting was attended by the national delegations of Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, the Republic of Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Türkiye and Ukraine.

First Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States with the participation of Rectors of Leading Turkish Universities, Istanbul, 14-15 February 2024

On 14 February 2024, upon the initiative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, the First Meeting of the Presidents of the Academies of Sciences of the BSEC Member States with the participation of Rectors of leading Turkish universities was organized in Istanbul. The Meeting was attended by the representatives of the Academies of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Türkiye, and Ukraine, as well as the Black Sea Universities’ Network.

On 8-9 February 2024, Mr. Yilmaz Buyukaydın, member of the PABSEC Turkish delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, took part in the 2024 Parliamentary Hearings of the Inter-Parliamentary Union at the UN, in New York, in which participated the parliamentarians from IPU Member Parliaments, representatives of international organizations, experts and high officials.
