On 25-27 May 2019, the PABSEC Delegation composed of Mr. Igor Becic, Head of the PABSEC Serbian Delegation, Mr. Ramaz Nikolashvili, Vice-Chairman of the PABSEC Legal and Political Affairs Committee and member of the PABSEC Georgian Delegation, and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General, participated in the monitoring of the elections to the European Parliament in Bulgaria.

On 4 April 2019 in Sofia was organized the International conference on “Inter-basin Cooperation on Marine Litter: a Focus on the Danube River and the Black Sea”, in which took part Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General. The Conference was organized in the framework of the Bulgarian BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office by the BSEC and the ICBSS and was supported by the PABSEC, the Central European Initiative Cooperation Fund and the European Commission.

On 2 April 2019, the Joint Meeting of the Standing Committees of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference on the topic “Safeguarding our Oceans and Marine Life” was held in Istanbul. The Meeting was attended by parliamentarians from Albania, Azerbaijan, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine, as well as experts in these issues from the international organizations in Turkey and Finland.
