On 29 March 2022, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Turkey, Dimitri Сroitor, visited the PABSEC International Secretariat and met with Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General. The Ambassador was accompanied by Ms. Corina Prigorschi, First Secretary of the Embassy, and Ms. Tatiana Celebi, Second Secretary of the Department for Economy and Trade, of the Embassy. During the conversation, the Secretary General presented a brief information about the PABSEC and its activities. It was emphasized that at the recent Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, the PABSEC Secretary General met with Ms. Irina Vlah, Head of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia of the Republic of Moldova, where the prospect of cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly and the status of “PABSEC Partner” were considered. The Secretary General expressed the hope that the cooperation between the PABSEC and the Republic of Moldova, will be strengthened. Ambassador Croitor, who is the former Head of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, noted with satisfaction, the interest of the Republic of Moldova in establishing close cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation and invited the PABSEC delegation to visit the Republic of Moldova. The Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova also proposed to organize a joint business forum with the PABSEC, in the Republic of Moldova. The PABSEC Secretary General wished the guests success in their activities and stressed that the Parliamentary Assembly contributes to the strengthening of multilateral cooperation, within the framework of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, also expressing the confidence that the organization of a joint event, together with the leadership of the Republic of Moldova and the PABSEC Moldovan delegation, will be successful.
