The Fiftieth Meeting of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee was held in Novi Sad, on 18-19 April 2018, upon the invitation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. The Meeting was addressed by Mr. Igor Bečić, Head of the PABSEC Serbian delegation, Mr. Özcan Ulupinar, Chairman of the PABSEC Cultural, Educational and Social Affairs Committee and Member of the PABSEC Turkish Delegation, Mr. Ištvan Pastor, Speaker of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Mr. Miloš Vučević, Mayor of Novi Sad, Mr. Igor Mirović, Prime Minister of the Provincial Government and Mr. Asaf Hajiyev, PABSEC Secretary General. The meeting was attended by the national delegations of Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Serbia and Turkey and chaired by Mr. Özcan Ulupinar, Chairman of the Committee. Mrs. Lyudmila Bokova, Member of the PABSEC Russian Delegation, presented the draft Report on “Enhancing cultural cooperation and multiculturalism in the BSEC Member States”. The Chairman of the Committee presented the draft Recommendation 163/2018 on the same subject. The Committee discussed and approved the draft Report and the draft Recommendation 163/2018 on “Enhancing cultural cooperation and multiculturalism in the BSEC Member States” that will be submitted to the consideration of the Fifty-First Plenary Session of the Assembly, to be held in Tirana, on 19-21 June 2018. The Committee took note of the information presented by the BSUN Expert on the activities of the Black Sea Universities Network (BSUN). The Fifty-First Meeting of the Committee will take place in Bulgaria, on 26-27 September 2018, and the main item of the Agenda will be “Current and Future Perspectives in the Development of Tourism in the BSEC Region”.
